    Hi there!
Didn't they give you the instructions on what you should be taking? I'm on my 4th day on liquid diet. Luckily I have 7 days only. I have a huge glass of warm water with lemon right after getting up followed with black coffee with no sugar nor milk. Maybe half an hour later I have 8oz protein shake (it took me a while to figure out which ones i like since I cannot stand the sweet ones, nor chocolate). I have another Protein shake around the lunch time. but between the breakfast and lunch I drink a lot of liquids, either tea or home made chicken broth or water. And for dinner I have 3 bites of boiled chicken and few bites of steamed broccoli or cauliflower. And again a lot of fluids between. Let me be honest - I'm hungry all the time and its not easy. My last 3 days of this week will be on liquids only. Good luck with this preop diet, it sux )

I am Having mine done that day too! I was not nervous at all until now. I am afraid I am going to get the diet all wrong. Have you as I am calling it started nesting yet? I am stressing myself out making sure I have all my ducks in a row just in case!

No i have not started nesting. Im a big procrastinator so i will be freaking out the night before my flight. As for the diet, i'm just worried my liver wont be shrunk and they wont be able to perform the surgery. I've read that some doctors don't even require the liquid diet but I just want the surgery with no complications!

Best is to follow what your doctor told you if he gave you directions. At any rate, I had full liquids. I drank protein shakes, had hot tea, and once a day had a venti nonfat latte from Starbucks with nonfat milk. Every night I would eat 1-2 sugar free popsicles.
