My doctor prescribed a Proton Pump Inhibitor called Tecta after my surgery. It is usually prescribed for acid reflux and GERD. I never suffered from it before, but I think he prescribed it as a precaution to aid the stomach to heal with minimal acid.
I hope I don't have to be on them for long. I'm having a few side effects. The skin on my hands has become quite tender, almost like dermatitis and I had tiny little water blisters on them. Also, my libido is totally non-existent.
Nearly three week out from surgery, I'm hoping I can stop taking the pills. Obviously I will consult with my doc, just wondering if any others were prescribed PPIs.
