10 days post surgery :)

Dear Friends,

Trust you all are well.. Well I finally had my Gastric Sleeve Procedure on the 26th Jan '18.. Though i was excited about the big decision i had made to get sleeved, I would be lying if i say that i wasnt nervous.. had an amazing experience at the hospital and the doctor i had selected. My surgery was not covered by insurance and i had to pay for it myself but that was the least of my worries.

The entire body check up was also great to tick off any kind of other concerns. I was back to my room in the hospital on the 27th Jan '18. i am now on liquid diet since then.. I havent felt hunger ever since then. Moreover, after the surgery when i was back home, i had my cousins (none knew about the surgery) munch a lot of stuff that i used to love once upon a time.. like chips, chocolates and the amazing Indian Cuisine.. though i felt bad that i couldnt even taste any of those stuff i am glad i saw that in front of my eyes so that i get rid of the craving completely..

I would comment that the best part of doing this surgery in alternative to different kind of dieting is that "when you are dieting, you can control your cravings, but then more so often you feel a bit of the food (that you are not supposed to eat) will not harm you.. i have done this numerous times.. in this case, you have no choice.. you are sleeved, you just have to get rid of your cravings watching other relish the food. This makes you tougher and your journey to weight loss is faster "

Well I will share the pictures soon.. its just ten days and i have already lost 7 kgs which wouldve taken me months to lose..

Thank you Cody.. !! All those amazing encouraging mails from friends on this group made me stronger and stick to my decision to have the surgery.. my brother suggested the same and am so glad I joined here and done with my procedure !!
I too am looking forward to the weight drop by.. i sooo badly want to get back to my earlier pre-pregnancy size clothes !! waiting !!
