Surgery tomorrow

I’m scheduled to be resleeved tomorrow (February 5, 2018). I’m getting “resleeved” because my original sleeve was 3x’s too big). Although it helped me lose weight, unfortunately it wasn’t designed to help maintain long term weight loss.

I find myself more “on edge” this time then I was the first time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited & grateful that I’ve been given this 2nd chance — but the anxiety I’m experiencing is more then I remember having previously.

I think my primary concern is: what if my surgeon is unable to revise my sleeve & he ends up having to convert my sleeve to a bypass? 😩😢😳 Currently my biggest challenge is mentally preparing myself for the possibility of having my sleeve converted to a bypass. The downside is: there isn’t a lot of data on resleeves.

I know I’m in good hands, but I’d be telling a bald face lie if I said I wasn’t scared.

Best of luck for tommorrow, and if you end up with bypass I guess you have made some peace with that, but hopefully you won't :-)

Best of luck to you tomorrow. Sorry to hear the first doctor didn’t do your sleeve correctly. Praying you don’t end up with the bypass. Please let us know how it goes tomorrow.
