Finally!

My nutritionist changed her mind and says she'll sign me off to the surgical institute. They will have their meeting. And I hope I hear something by the end of the week. Appreciate some good vibes I am meeting with the surgeon soon.

I emailed her today after getting an email from her nurse last week stating I needed to lose more and more lab work and she'd like to see me again. Asked when she would like to see me, how much more weight, and let her know when my next port flush was. I don't have to see her probably until after surgery sometime.

Expressed my frustration on minimal weight loss and i have been killing it in the cardio department. I just metabolize so slow sitting and I am getting tired of gaining and losing the same damn pound week after week. She told me to do a keto diet today and that's basically what I've been doing. I told her I would work really hard to get those last four pounds off - took me a year to lose 25 in weight watchers and I worked out A LOT then. Been drinking so much water - my pee is almost clear, if anything my kidneys and bladder work perfectly!

I’m hoping by the end of the week. I don’t know if they have a team meeting or just sign off through messenger. My docs nurse was getting notes through that. She knows I’m eager. And she does the scheduling. I’ll post here when I know. The sooner the better.

Well, haven't heard anything this week. I'm hoping everyone has talked with the doc and his nurse and I'm hoping I'm in the insurance part even though at my first appointment she said my insurance covered it. I also have Medicaid if Cigna happens to fall through. I'd attach the sheet, but it won't let me post the photo. Hoping next week I hear something.

I was going to email the nurse today, but got a letter in the mail from Cigna today asking my doc for more information. I'm getting closer. Hopefully, he can justify it enough especially with my paralysis and restrictions that this will be good for me. I'm guessing this isn't an uncommon thing.

On the plus side - finally lost 5-6 pounds. Took getting the stomach flu, but I'll take it. That came out of nowhere. Perfectly fine bowling Wednesday night. Fine when I got home. Middle of the night - dying!! It's also the gift that keeps on giving because Saturday my parents were both sick. Better today and back to work - going to do my best to keep those 5 pounds off. Super dehydrated still, but Diet Sprite was the only thing that I could tolerate. And I just weened off all pop! Won't be hard to kick it again. Just a minor set back. What do people drink for tummy aches after surgery. Sprite Zero is my go to.
