Hot Teas Suggestions

Any suggestions on hot teas on pre op diet? I know without caffeine, but I know certain herbal teas should be avoided before surgery any suggestions?

Green is best I hear - if you like tea this way.......Myself, hailing for x-convict Irish/Scottish stock, prefer my tea with milk and sugar (not white but sugar sub!)

Hi,

Sorry it took so long to write.
I couldn't figure out the system.
I too am having surgery on the 6th.
I fly in on Alaska Airlines around 8:20 am
Im starting my liquid diet /pre op. diet in the morning.
They were not to clean on what they wanted me to eat so I bought sugar free jello, otter pops, crystle light soup/broth and some low cal frozen meals and a few bags of salad.
One idea I found on utube was to use a baby sippy cup.
I bought one of those and a baby spoon.
I want to get a baby size plate also.
Im trying to bring as little as possible.
Anyway Im from the Seattle Wa area...
We will both be starting our new lives on the same day...

I never heard anything about avoiding particular herbal teas. Any idea why? I drink any herbal tea that is "fruity," like peach, raspberry, cherry, etc. I love tea, especially in winter when I'm cold.

I'm on the good old English tea with a drop of skimmed milk. I am a Brit after all. I drink gallons of the stuff and according to my nutritionist I can continue to drink it by the gallon.
