Default Tomorrow it the day !!

I am so excited tomorrow at 8 am I go to the hospital for my sleeve. This has been super hard to stay on this liquid diet !! I am hoping since my stomach won't be so big it will be easier during the next several weeks. Any tips ?

    Good luck, and congrats!

The first few weeks I wasn't really hungry at all. The only thing that drove my drinking the protein shakes was the schedule I put myself on to get everything in. I was always about 10 grams of protein short of what I was supposed to hit because it would literally take me about 3 hours to drink 8 oz. The important thing is to just sip, sip, sip!

One thing I found that helped was to keep a pot filled with ice and I'd set my premier protein shake bottle in the ice to keep it cold since it took me so long to drink it!

Wishing you lots of luck! I am only 9 days out. First few days were a blur...but like everyone will tell you walk, sip, sip, sip, walk! I lived on Sugar Free ice pops. You will be amazed at your lack of hunger.
Let us know how you make out!

Yes, walk in the hospital as soon as you can and then sleep. Just do your best in the first few days to stay hydrated. I preferred warm liquids but anything you can get down is a win. And you will soon join the "can't believe I'm trying to make myself eat" club. I'm still pinching myself.

The beginning is no issue staying on the liquid diet. Just remember to keep sipping and walking post op. The first week you will feel tired and run down. The most important thing is to focus on staying hydrated. A heating pad can be your best friend. Just remember to walk and sip though to help you expel gas and stay hydrated. You got this! Good luck! See you on the flip side!
