The Countdown is On!

Hi all,

I thought I would introduce myself as I am new to this site. I made a decision that my goal for this year was about ME! I want to become a new healthier, skinnier, energetic me who can give my husband babies! I have been struggling with my weight my whole life, been on various forms of diets and programs - the usual when it comes to being overweight and the struggles and hurdles we go through. So, a couple of weeks ago I made the decision to get the gastric sleeve to help me become the new healthier me... and I can't be more excited!

My husband works FIFO and he left this morning to go to site. I was telling him last night that I am soooo excited to get this surgery done (it's booked in on 20 Feb 2018). I can't wait to be able to find clothes that fit me, have more energy to feel like I want to exercise... and most importantly be healthy enough to hopefully be able to conceive naturally (another goal of mine).

I know it is going to be a challenge, so I am hoping this forum site will help and be my support so that I can stick at it and get through the hard times. I have a love of food and dining out etc... and I know I will find it hard to adjust my habits and get to my goal weight.. so if I struggle I may come on here to seek some help or tips and guidance - so watch this space

Hi all, just letting you know my op went well! I was very out of it yesterday but today I've been walking up and down the corridors in the hospitals and working on my fluid intake. Feeling pretty tired though... but I'm on the mend and my journey has well and truly begun!! :-D
