    Default Feeling really guilty!

I haven't been doing any exercise!!! I've been eating really well and getting all my protein and I am still losing about a pound a week. I know one day it will stall and I dread the day. How does everyone get going on the exercise? What gets you out the door, on the treadmill, or to the gym? Is there anyone out there who hasn't been exercising? What are the results? Thanx for all replies.

Sleeve or no sleeve, no one is going to take this excess weight off my body but myself! Today when I went walking through my neighborhood for about 3 miles, I wanted to cut the walk short but I just keep repeating "Quitters never win. Winners never quit." Once I get going, it feels great. What gets me out the house is that right now, I am a stay at a home mom so I have a little bit of extra time on my hands. I use to lay down and go back to sleep for a couple hours after dropping them. Now since pre-op and post-op,(last 8 months) I am up drinking my water and exercising and planning out my day and a couple of days worth of meals. I will walk to the grocery store which is about 1.3 miles away to get the food. I get 2-in-1 done. A visit to the grocery store and my walking for the day carrying extra weight home! The best answer that I can come up with is that you really have to want to succeed in your life's journey whatever it maybe. No one is going to do it for you and you have to be your #1 fan. RAH! RAH! RAH! Start out slow---even if it's 15-20 minutes a day. Overall, you may have done the operation at the advice of your Dr. or maybe after your own careful consideration, but whichever it was, you decided to go through with it. I wish you much success in your continued journey in finding yourself and bringing sexy back.

I walk at least 3 miles a day now since we got our new dog. It's funny how I'm at a stall now while I walk alot, but before I lost without exercise. I knew my stall would come and I'm not upset about it. My body is trying to catch up.

I have always been an exerciser. I am a fit fat person!!! It helps if you have a buddy to go to the gym with, a walk, a bike ride. I had a buddy up until this year and now I go by myself. I just feel so much better when I exercise. The first 10 minutes are tough-but then after that I know I can do it! I go in the am before work or I know it will never get done!

Looking good is what makes me exercise religiously, that being said, I don't beat myself up if I take a couple of days off. It's a journey not a race .

    Hi

I had my sleeve done around 5 months ago and i haven't excercised as much as i should. I keep meaning to but something always seems to stop me (probably making excuses).

I am getting on well with my wieght loss i have now lost just over 100lbs which i'm really pleased with but i know it would be more if only i got of my arse.

Over the next few weeks i will get out and go for some walks. I have 3 dogs who always want to go for a little trek, i just need to take on some of their enthusiasm for it.

Good luck to all of us struggling to excercise.

    Jo
