    Default Just food for thought.

went out for lunch today but could only eat a few mouthfuls. Put the rest in my bag for my dogs at home.
    I just felt so full.
It's true that people treat you differently when your big and when your smaller.
I feel they're not threatened by a big person but when your thinner you feel more confident
and that scares a few people off. Just observation from what I've been through.
I lost 35 kgs myself and was looked at and treated so differently then I put it all back on again.
I felt bad, looked bad and let people walk all over me again.
This time will be so different. I have my sleeve to help me keep it off this time.

    Highest weight 247lbs (112kgs)
    1 month. - 224.5lbs (22.5lbs)
    2 month. -211lbs (13lbs)
    3 month - 205lbs (6lbs)
    4 month - 199lbs (6lbs)
    5 month - 194lbs (5lbs)
    6 month- 187lbs (7lbs) 58.5lb loss (26kgs)

I am completely with you on this.. am due for my Gastric Sleeve in exactly one week.. God bless all goes well.
i have tried different forms of exercise to lose weight and infact lost a good 16 kgs prior to my only brothers wedding
but then i gained all of it and infact more.. the way you are treated is completely different.
i have made up my mind to make sure that i change my lifestyle post surgery.. i am gonna dedicate more "me time" than ever.
i have just been so caught up with my marriage, bringing up kids, career and everything else but myself
time to focus on the real purpose of MY life.. ME, ME and ME first

Good luck on your journey and enjoy the new life ...

What a great share. I bring home the uneaten portion of meals, but the doggies don't eat them; we're pretty good about leftovers. I've learned that it is the camaraderie when you go out to eat with a group, not what you get to eat. Sometimes I have "plate envy"!

I agree we are treated differently, and one of the reasons for my weight gain was to feel "safe" from unwanted attention. One of the graces of gray hair is I could probably outrun anyone who encroached in my personal boundaries, lol!

Happy with my weight; happy with my size; over-the-moon with my health!

I think people are nicer to me now that I am thin. People are always smiling and saying hi even if I do not know them. Both men and women. I know that I am probably giving off a more open and approachable vibe since I love the skin I am in. I feel very comfortable and happy.
