Just looking to connect with some Canadians to share tips on items we can get in Canada and places to order that doesn't cost us an arm and leg with the exchange rate/duties
Just passing by to say Hi.
I am from Montreal, my mother was from Nova Scotia.
But we moved to Europe, when I was six years old.
I still feel Canadian at heart!
I still have dual citizenship, which is politically challenging here in Europe.
Sorry, I didn't answer the rest of your question! My surgery went really well, and the post op was not nearly as bad as I was expecting. I am now on the pureed food stage, and it is good - LOTS of protein, chicken, eggs, beans, and protein powder in smoothies or yogurt, and I puree up spinach, brocolli, cauliflower etc with the protein. It actually tastes quite good. I am walking 45mins twice a day, and I seem to have lots of energy. The first week I napped during the day, but I don't really feel the need now.
The pre-op however was really hard - I do not like sweet, artificial tasting food and the OptiFast shake was that. It was brutal "eating" that four times a day fro three weeks and NOTHING else! By the end, I was getting 3a day down me max. But here I am post op and feeling great, so I can forget about that part now!
Hope that helps a little - and good luck!!
Thanks for the info Debora. I am going to Mexico as I am ready now vs having to wait 2 years. On hindsite I should have had my dr refer me back then, but never really though much about it and kept on thinking I would be able to do it on my own. I am 5'10" and prepregnancy (12 years ago!!) I was 195 about. Now well over 300 and have spent thousands of $'s trying every type of program under the son and just sick of being overweight.
