Awesome NSV!

For those who don't know, I volunteer with my towns Volunteer Fire Department and have been at it for about 7 years. I've been firefighting as a big guy and now as a skinny guy and can tell the difference about how I feel when working.

A few days ago I was at the fire house doing something (can't really remember what), and there was a large group of 10 - 15 members there hanging out, shooting the breeze. We were talking about life in general as well as some jobs (jobs are fires) that we had been on. Not sure how the conversation went in the direction it did, but one of the other members was talking and at some point he said something along the lines of, "You are the most fit firefighter we have here." I was shocked, humbled, and quite happy! His comment was seconded by most of the people there which really made me feel good. I downplayed his comment and the other ones as well, but it is crazy to think that the fat, overweight me has been replaced by someone who people look at in that way. I would have never put me in the fittest member category, especially when we have a number of members in their 20's! Nice to know that a 47 year old can still do it!

Are you kidding me? You are a total BEAST MODE SLEEVER!!! You are freaking awesome!!! I am not shocked one bit that they said you were called the fittest fireman!! You are a role model for sleevers and non sleevers alike. Way to go Glenn!!
