    Default It's getting real

I've never blogged before, but am going to give it a try. After having chest pain Sept. 13, 2017 and being diagnosed with Heart Failure I realized that something had to change. I've been working hard for seventeen years, trying to get the weight off after gaining a bunch post hysterectomy.

I'm scheduled to have gastric sleeve surgery on Jan. 23rd, 2018. Doing my 2 week pre-op diet. It is really going to happen.

I had CAD, a failed triple bypass and 24/7 angina that medication didn't touch. At 3 months out, I'm down from 17 medications a day to 4, plus a vitamin. My angina is completely gone, with NO medications. My total cholesterol is now 99, and my trigylcerides are 93 (down from 295). I feel better, and have more energy every day. Oh, and I've lost weight & inches.

You'll be feeling better about 5 days into your pre-op (the first few days can be hard). But everyone here will support you through!
