I would love to talk with any woman that is 56 or above who has had the RNY surgery. Please
It's down on the bottom of the screen for other weight surgery s. I wanted the sleeve but doctor said I should get the RNY because of reflux problems.I really was just wondering about skin.
I'm 60 years old 212 lbs have some health issues that this should take care of.
I have been on this site for 3 years and very active. I honestly don't remember anyone here who's had gastric bypass surgery.
I think you''d do better at obesityhelp.com.

Re "excess skin" there's no difference between RNY and VSG in that outcome. It's not about the type of surgery you have, but how old you are, how heavy you are, your genetics, what kind of shape your skin is currently in and to some extent how many other times you've gained and lost weight.
I'm 70 years old and had lost and gained weight multiple times in my life -- although never to 135 pounds. Honestly, my skin's not awful now at 135 pounds. Frankly, I look sorta hawt for a septuagenarian.
I sure didn't mean to "kick you out." I just thought you were looking specifically for others who'd had a bypass.
Whatever you do, good luck to you!

Keep looking and you will find someone.
I assume excess skin would be the same after either procedure. If you're 212 you probably won't have much to worry about. I went from a little higher weight to 130 and any excess skin hides under clothes well. A tummy tuck would be nice, but I don't want to bother.
I am almost 60 (in a month). I had gastric sleeve six years ago and now my doc is suggesting gastric bypass for the reflux and because I have gained some of my weight back. I’m interested in what others who have had bypass have to say.
Good luck to you!
