Eggs were a staple of my diet early on when I could eat soft foods. Ironically, they are still a staple of my diet!

Wow, 2 weeks post op! Those were the days!

Think soft (very soft) foods. I don't think I was out of pureed foods yet at 2 weeks. Maybe I was, I can't remember. Stick to the plan that they give you and you'll do fine. The real fun begins at 6 weeks when you can start eating regular stuff again.

Good luck! Let us know if you have any questions. Someone on here always has advice (good, bad or indifferent!)

I wasn't cleared for soft foods (which includes eggs) until the beginning of my fourth week. Everyone is different. The first day I was cleared to, I ate a soft scrambled egg and wasn't able to get it down. I couldn't eat an egg until later on into the fourth week.

Congrats on making this life saving decision. Each doctor has a different post op diet schedule. At two weeks I was only allowed full liquids. Eggs weren’t ok until week 4.They still our a staple in my diet .

I was allowed soft foods at 2 weeks as well. I would eat eggs, Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt, cottage cheese, refried beans, tuna salad, egg salad. I would even eat any soft meats and chew well. Like stews in the crock pot. I was lucky. I never had any issues with any foods I ate.
