    Lightbulb My journey

My journey started out so quickly and I had my surgery and was well on my way to losing weight. I healed quickly and followed the diet as directed.i lost weight ..70 pounds over the next 6 months. Than I ended up divorced and my diet was ok for a while than I didn’t eat so healthy.i stopped counting my protein grams, drank empty calories and slider foods in small quantities. Over the past year I’ve done fairly well on keeping the weight off , until the holidays, I gained 10 pounds back and now feel like I need to climb back onto the wagon and follow the rules of gastric sleeve post op diet.im 18 months post op and fear if I don’t stop eating slider foods I will ruin my sleeve and re gain all weight. So I’ve decided to pick myself up and start fresh.

10 pounds isn't much, you've got this! It's great you caught it till it's 20, 30, etc! The holidays were hard for many of us (I had guests for 11 days!!), glad we are all back on track. Good luck!

I agree that 10 pounds isn't terrible. I also feel your pain. I'm terrified of regaining.

You already posted the solution to your problem. Get back on the program! Start by eliminating the slider / unhealthy foods. Also, start keeping a food diary. My food diary keeps me honest and makes me slow down and look at what I am eating.

I also weigh daily so that I know where I am so that I can reverse course quickly if necessary. Not saying everyone has to do it, but I will get an alarm long before I hit 10 pounds of weight gain. Two to four pounds of weight gain is just a fluctuation in weight, but when I hit 5 - 7 I'm in full crisis mode!

Do you exercise? I've found that exercise is a key component to my weight management plan. It also feels great to burn off stress without using my stomach to do it. I definitely used to eat as a stress reliever, and I know all to well where that got me.

    Hope this helps!

Get back on the program! You got this!

If you are talking to me thank you!

Protien first always. I get at least 100 grams of protien a day. I do not do protien shakes. It is from mostly chicken and tuna. I drink like 4 cups of soy milk a day with my homemade chai tea. I average 1500 calories a day. I also drink 85 oz of water/crystal lite as well. So I'm totally hydrated!

I don't have a gym membership so I walk...a lot! I average about 15000 steps a day and I got a job that is physical.

Thank you all for the kind words ! I haven’t been back on here and I need to find the strength to do this! I haven’t gained anymore, although haven’t lost and find I can eat larger portions ( nothing like pre surgery ). Any suggestions on diet now??? Help!!!
