Hi guys first time on here ! Looking for recomdations for bariatric surgeons in Mexico

My name's Paula I'm from Jasper Texas , I'm 259.8 which is my highest weight and am looking to loose to be at 150 pounds . I can't afford the surgery in the states and my Medicaid is not accepted by bariatric surgeons here so I'm looking in Tijuana, I would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks

Hi there,
I had my surgery with Dr Valenzuela and her team in Tijuana, and highly recommend them! I couldn't have asked for better care (and Im an RN in Canada). The facility has an ICU which I think is key when considering surgery. Additionally Dr Valenzuela had a VGS in 2016, performed at the hospital she works out of by one of the other surgeons that practices at that facility. I would at least call Comprehensive Center for Weight Loss in San Antonio. Dr. Thomas. 210-780-5832. They are affiliated with the Baptist Health Care System so aren’t private docs trying to get rich quick. They took MediCARE and scheduled me within 3 weeks. He told me he takes Medicaid too.
It’s worth a try.
