The dreaded poo questions

I was hoping to avoid having to ask anything about this but alas I couldn’t.

I havnt gone bathroom in eight days and honestly I don’t feel like I have to. I am at 2liters fluid, 60g protein and around 450 calories.

Should I be worried?

No. You should be mostly fluids so what have you consumed that would require evacuation? If your stomach is not uncomfortable and your able to still drink then you are not having an issue.

It takes a while post op to "go". Look up the Dr. A video on here about it. It talks about pooping after surgery. That being said it will be something to keep an eye on because a lot of people do have constipation issues post op so it is best to keep track of it. I had constipation issues for the first 10 months. The best relief I had was with fleet suppositories.

I took high grade probiotics that I got from mercola.com. I would empty the capsules into my shakes (at least 2 everyday). I started going #2 in the hospital & even though it was watery I still went. I only missed a day or 2 here and there and only had constipation after I forgot my probiotics 2 days in a row. Once I resumed those I was back on track. Again it was very loose & watery in the beginning but I did still go. I know this is not typical for everyone. I'm the type of person that needs to go every day though or I don't feel right. Everyone's bodies are different. Best of luck.
