Hi fellow sleevers- and soon to be sleevers,LoriAproncrop.jpg
I haven't really been GONE, gone, just busy with life. It's been a year since I found this board, joined it, and learned so many things from all the veteran sleevers. You guys got me through the entire experience.
I have been doing good. I was overly CRAZY with the calorie counting and carb slashing the three months before surgery last March, and up until October-ish. My appetite came back... BIG TIME around that time and I was worried at first about becoming an eating machine- but then gave some serious thought about that whole scenario. (I can't consume THAT much food. I may have a hankering for something sweet and I will allow myself to eat a little). But I get full now, unlike my original stomach size.
I exercise regularly, with my zumba dancing 4-5 days a week. I started jogging in October too, and now own a treadmill as of a couple weeks ago- Merry Christmas to us- (that I haven't used much because I have been sick with a cold). I realized I NEED some carbs. I NEED some calories. I lost 102 pounds by September (I think it was). I weighed myself daily up until October and now I don't. I feel good and don't look like the massive sloth that was once me and I am OK with it.
I haven't seen my surgeon... July was the last time I saw him at a visit and now my family doctor can order the blood work for me. This works out well for me because I do not want to see the surgeon (as most of you know the entire story of his office practices).
Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa!
