Default looking for some new recipes

    Hi everyone,

I was sleeved at the end of August and am down about 55 pounds. I find that lately I am disinterested in food and would like some new recipes and foods that I can eat. Any suggestions?

    Thanks Michele

First of all, congrats on the 55 pounds! WOW!

For eating, we always follow our "rule of two" a protein and a veggie. Typically fish, seafood, or chicken, with the occasional pork or beef. My husband is the chef, just walks around the grocery store and buys what looks good. I am not that creative. When he's out of town I eat chicken until I'm sick of it. So I understand how you feel! Without him I may just starve.

One non-chef thing I made this week (he had the nerve to go out of town) was putting boneless chicken breasts in the crock pot covered with Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo Wing sauce. Turned out so good, a little spicy and so tender. The sauce is very low in calories, and most was just tossed when I took out the chicken. I also love making salads with lots of veggies topped with a protein, like chicken or smoked salmon.

When I'm "on the go" I love the Bumblebee Snack on the run fat-free tuna salad with crackers. 6 grams of protein and very low calories.

In restaurants I'm really into the tuna, ceviche, scallops, or any fish. Sometimes a really good filet!

If you are like me you may want to invest in some bariatric cookbooks. Good luck, I understand how easy it is to get into a food rut, eating the same thing over and over.

I was going to say the same thing!
I love her site, I find it very inspirational.

If you have an oil and vinegar shop, they will have some great and health suggestions. I love all the different flavors of the balsamic vinegars...from salads, chicken, seafood and even ice cream!
