    Default Sleeved Yesterday

Just has my sleeve put in yesterday.* I passed my swallow test this morning and I have never been this happy about getting a bottle of water.

The pre op diet sucked. But the recovery yesterday was total he'll. I cramped all night and had severe back pain and a lot of trapped air.*

It's different for everyone, the lady in the room next to me didn't have any gas.*

oh but the most significant change in me is that I walked over a mile yesterday and today.* 5 times yesterday and 3 today so far. Hopefully i go home soom!

Congratulations! The first week is a bit rough but then it gets easier. Gas is the worst. Keep walking. It really makes a difference.

Congrats on your new life. It will only get better from here. You'll be amazed how you feel in just a week. Others are exactly right, you will notice changes daily as you begin to recuperate. My only suggestion is to follow your doctors orders/directions to a T. They know what they are talking about.

    Best of luck to you!

Hang in there Briar. It will get a little easier and easier each day. The worst week is by far the hardest. Just keep sipping and walking. The most important thing is to keep moving to get the gas out and also to keep sipping to prevent getting dehydrated. You can do this!!

One bad day in your life, and now it's over. Every day will get easier. Be sure to rest a lot this whole week. The first week all I did was sleep, sip my protein drinks, and take little walks. (No further than around the block.) Then I'd sleep again.

Take care. You are just starting an amazing journey. It is so much fun!
