Default Where Am I at 2 Months (+5 days)

I can eat "real" food; that said, I have not had any sugar or corn syrup products. I have not gone into anything with heavy oil. And if something sounds queasy when I think about eating it, not going there yet.

Successful food: pretty much everything I've tried, which includes eating out (with great caution and a take out box for the next 3 meals of leftovers). Again, cautious.

Problem: I still forget and eat too fast and feel queasy or "froth". As unpleasant as both are, I think I'm learning

Weight: Down 44.8 lbs Inches: 33" gone (I measure every Saturday.

Size: From a 16 to a 10 (which means nothing since sizes vary so much.

Health: Seems good; had labs done this week, but results not back. Found out I discontinued two meds I'm not supposed to (blood thinnere plus aspirin as I have CAD and stroke history). AND caught some kind of bug in the waiting room.

Basically very happy camper! (No s'mores)

You're doing so good Annie. And I love your new pic. I am exactly the same in terms of 'cautious'. I can eat anything now but I am wary of a lot!! I think it's not a bad thing to go on gut feel at the moment. When I spoke to my practice they did laugh a bit and say, this is a journey... what you will be eating now will be differnt to 3 months, then 6 months then 18 months. It will all change they said. I was like will i be eating eggs and tuna forever!!!!! Nope!!
Congrats on your progress Annie and you look beautiful :-)

You're very kind! I'm going to try a bariatric pork loin recipe this evening. I love tuna or chicken salad. But hope it's not my forever food

Glad to hear you are doing so well with the real foods. I completely understand about the eating too fast. I did that so many times in the beginning. I remember the queasiness and froth. It takes a while to stop doing it and then once you think you have mastered it...you may still slip occasionally. But patience young grasshopper...before you know it you will have this new sleeved life down. And with time...everything about being sleeved becomes easier.

LOL! *Nothing* is your "forever food."

VSG patients can eventually eat absolutely anything and everything.

    And there's the rub.

I still have a few weeks to go before I eat "normal" foods.
Eating fast was my problem before but if your stomach tells you too fast then I think it's great that we're being reminded that times are changing.
Before no one told us to slow down, so it was easy to stuff oneself. Now, we have someone ( our stomach) to say, " hey! Enoughs enough"
Good luck on your new journey and hope to see more great pics.

I've had lots of serious health issues over 65 years, but toad froth is disgusting. So slowing down my eating.

Ann2, I'm not willing to eat some things, because my head says they are triggers. Pretty much ok about no sugar (diabetic most of my life), but popcorn--glistening buttery popcorn. And then I say "toad froth", and its better.

Y'all are such an awesome support! And most of VGS is good!
