    Default Dun broke mah stall!!

Sorry, just wanted to shout it out to the world and to you fine folks LOL.

Just been struggling to see loss for the majority of November. Was so frustrating because I feel that so soon after surgery I shouldn't be stalling like that. Seriously 3 weeks of yoyo'ing. I upped my protein. I upped my water. I upped my exercise. Nothing. Nada. ZILCH. Just growing anger and frustration and feeling like I had made a mistake.

This last Friday I decided I was done fussing over my calories and fat. I've gone super low-carb / high fat / moderate protein for the last 3 days and I've lost 4 lbs since Friday. Yes, some of that is water weight. BUT IT BROKE THE STALL. Plus I feel so much less bloated, no lack of energy, alert, and on the go. I stopped worrying about how much cream I was putting in my coffee and just enjoyed it how I liked it. I've been reading up on Keto for the last few days now and decided this is what I am looking for.

I don't mean loading up on deep fried crap and excess cheese. I mean healthy oils and fats and organic sources of protein. Eggs, avocados, organic and grass-fed meats and dairy, etc. I'm going to stop being a huge fuss bucket over calories and track only net carbs.

I am excited to see where this will take me. It's time to enjoy food again in a healthy way. It's a relief.

    Hello flavor my old friend.

You GOT to do what you NEED to do.

If what you are doing isn't working, try something else until you find what DOES work for you.

    Love it.

Low carb is what worked for me as well. While I was not super stringent about counting carbs, I always ate low carb and avoided the flours and sugars. Just focused on protein and veggies. Glad that it is working for you. Once I hit goal I started to add some carbs back. I still by the mantra of protein and veggies first, but I do have some carbs. And I monitor my weight daily to know how my body is responding. It is all about finding what works for you. And while some people can eat whatever they want, not all are so lucky. I know that I do not like to track. So I could not tell you how many calories I ate on my journey or how many I eat now. In the beginning I tracked fluids and protein in my head. But that's it. Wishing you continued success on your journey!

I've been having a very similar experience lately, I've been googling around looking for low-carb recipes and I keep coming across keto websites and keto recipes. I've been wondering if it would be something for me to look into. I think it does make a lot of sense, I've never felt that fat was the enemy, especially natural fats from coconuts, avocadoes, nuts etc but that the thing that was always going to be the enemy was sugar. Carbs and sugar will get me every time, more so than fat. We should share some recipes
