Red face Hoping for VGS by year's end

Hello everyone, boy am I happy & grateful to find this forum! I have struggled with my weight for the last 10 years and finally decided to really do something. I am hoping for surgery before the end of the year. I want (NEED) 2018 to be a fresh start.
I have served my local community as a holistic Midwife for the last 12 years. I have verged on complete adrenal failure a few times, and it has now affected my thyroid. I am semi-retired so that I can recover my health!
This year I became an empty nester and a divorcee after 29 years of marriage. To say that I need something new in my life is an understatement 😜
I'M EXCITED to get to know many of you better and begin this journey... Back to the old me!
    💕❣️

Welcome Trish, Congrats on deciding to have the Sleeve surgery and get as healthy as possible and hopefully prevent further health issues. Looking at your picture you don’t look like you have a huge amount to loose but I know everyone carries there weight differently. I’m sorry to hear you’ve really been going through a tough time and some big changes, fortunately You are not alone.
The Sleeve as been the best thing I ever did. I had many weight related health problems/diseases. They are resolved now. Now I just have to Manage the ones not related. I’ve lost 144lbs so far and feel so much better and I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time and can physically do one too. It’s like night and day difference!! Goodluck to you on your journey. Please if you can fill out the weight ticker! It’s a lot of fun to change when your loosing weight plus others can see were you started and what your goal wt is. Thanks in advance.

Welcome! I am still waiting on my date and hoping to tackle it before the end of the year as well. It does sound like you deserve that fresh start - I am completely looking at it the same way - I will finally have a truly useful tool to help me get weight off and keep it off . I LOVE this forum - I come to post or read messages every day, and I am always inspired!
