Default My goal is to cross my legs

I know that seems weird, but when you get heavy, you have so many disadvantages that you forget about. I am looking forward to being able to cross my legs. Maybe in 15 more pounds..... My weight isn't coming off as fast as some other people, but I converted from a band. It's still coming off and I feel good so I'm not trying to over think everything.

I look fwd to that also - and to losing 35 lbs like you have! I also look fwd to not having to do a stress analysis test (in my head) to see if a chair is capable of holding ....or not having to worry if I'll have to ask for a seat belt extender on an aircraft flight.
Congrats on the weight you've already lost! Hang in there and keep it up.

Congratulations to both of you for your current success. Shellprell, you mentioned you were a slow loser, so was I. Although I would have preferred a much faster weight loss I will say I learned a lot of good habits with the slow loss that has helped me to keep the weight off. It took me 16 months to lose 103 pounds and at goal weight I still eat most days like I did during the weight loss phase. I'm 5'4 132 pounds. I've been +/- 3 pounds of my goal since June of 2016. Fast may be desired but slow will get you there. Again, congratulations to the both of you and looking forward to hearing about your continued success.

Hey, we started at around the same weight. I had my surgery done in April 2017 and I'm happy to tell you... I can easily cross my legs now! AND my arms, which I could not do. I thought I'd never be able to do that, but it turns out... I can! you're almost there!

That isn't weird at all!!! You will be able to do it in no time. Wait for the other 'weird' things that they uncovered...like bones. I now have collar bones, hip bones, wrist and ankle bones. Knees! I have knees now too! The trade off is they really do hurt when they get smacked. I will gladly take it over the pain of being too heavy and destroying my joints.
Remember even though you aren't losing fast slow and steady wins the race. Another benefit is your skin won't be as saggy. It really is gross.

Totally understandable. I was so freaking excited when I could wear skirts/dresses without having to wear biker shorts underneath. If I didn't wear shorts I would sweat like crazy and my thighs would chafe. Not anymore honey. As for losing slower, it is very common for 2nd WLS patients to lose slower than first time WLS patients. I see that as a common thing with band to sleeve conversions. But you know what? They all are successful and lose their weight!! You got this!!

Thanks for all of the support. Like I said, I haven't been able to cross my legs in 13 years or more. I feel like I'm getting closer.

For months and months and months after WLS, my favorite re-discovered body part became my collarbones. Couldn't keep my hands off them.
