Happy Thanksgiving! A few pics of the new me.

So this is my second Thanksgiving as a sleeved person! Last year was different as I was only about 3 weeks post op. This year I thought I would be able to eat...not a lot per se...but more than I did. I still have lots of restriction so it was not like I could eat a lot. I had a small amount of turkey breast, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, and a small peanut butter cookie. It took me quite a while to eat. I did not eat it all. In theory, I felt like I ate a ton...but in reality it was a small amount. And for dinner I just had a protein shake. It was a great day filled with family and friends. I survived. No overeating. Then I got home and saw that there is a 5K Turkey Trot Trail Run tomorrow just down the street from my house. So my hubby and I signed up to do it tomorrow morning. How's that for commitment to a new healthy lifestyle? And next weekend (Sunday) is my half marathon. I am not expecting a great time as I have had to baby my knee but I will complete it. I will run with my niece and my hubby will run with her fiancé. Tomorrow we have a playoff game my daughter's HS football team. It is at 2 PM. I was lucky enough to be off all week so I will be going. Texas HS football is big y'all. It has been a great week off of work. Not really ready to go back on Monday. LOL. I have added a few recent pictures. I had cut my hair short to allow all my weird short bits to catch up. I want to go shorter but until it evens out some I am not sure how it would end up. It is naturally wavy and I just let it do it's thing today. I try to let it wrap around itself so it isn't too frizzy.

Thank you! I feel great. I have to say, I thought I was in maintenance mode but have lost 3 additional pounds the last 2 weeks with no change in my exercise or eating habits. I guess my body just wanted to be lower?

Great, you look awesome. I spent Thanksgiving dinner pushing food around my plate and using my granddaughter as a decoy. She ate all the food that was eaten off my plate ��. Hoping to be able to enjoy some food for Christmas ��

Happy Thanksgiving Christie, so glad you had a good one and it’s no surprise you made it through with ease. Well done : ) Love your pictures! You look Gorgeous!! I think you’d look cute with short hair. I also like what you’ve done now. Hope your marathon’s go well. So envious. Wish I wasn’t sick so I could get out there and sweat!! I do plan to go out walking rain or shine! I have cabin fever. I was able to enjoy a few bites of turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green Salad with homemade thousand island. Wish I had taken a pic, I did a great job dishing up. Finally I only took enough to take two or three bites. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the holiday without overeating and thanks to the Sleeve I wasn’t tempted. Thank you for sharing and to post new pic’s. When I feel better I need to take some new pics. I’m so excited to dress up with my new boots and also bought some new heels. I haven’t own either one in probably 20yrs. Be sure to update us on how your 5k and turkey trot goes.

Thank you everyone. I totally want to go shorter but have to wait until the really short bits are a bit longer. Loving the sleeved life and living the sleeved dream!
