I had my sleeve Monday and threw up all that night yesterday was miserable also. If a little better today! I am trying to figure out how to drink my medicine and drink my water this is overwhelming. Please tell me it gets better because right now I am miserable and regret this surgery! Help me please

It does get better! The first week is the hardest. Everyday gets a little easier. Just takes time. Keep sipping! Hope you feel better soon.

Just remember, please, that NOTHING you are experiencing now is permanent. In a year or so you'll be the one typing what I'm typing now.

It gets a lot better. First few weeks are tough, but in 6 weeks you’ll forget about this, and in 6 months you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.....

I had a dear friend of mine who was dry heaving and throwing up as well. Was from the anesthesia she said. Her Dr. gave her zofran it dissolves under the tongue. if you continue to feel that way maybe your dr. could prescribe this to you as well.??? Hope you feel better.

Yes my Dr sent me home with a prescription in case I was nauseous. I didn't need it but they did put something in my IV while in the hospital to keep me from throwing up so it must be normal. Your Dr/nutritionist should give you a list of recommended vitamins. It really helps to know what list of nutrients you need.

Start feeling better soon! You got vitamins in the hospital and most people wait until they are able to keep things down a bit before starting on them, but if you don't have the information you need, let me know and I will share the information that I received from my program with you. Do you have the number for the bariatric program? If you still feel this bad on Friday, I would be calling and asking for some nausea medicine! Hugs!

Hang in there! I’m 5 weeks out and every day, especially every week gets better. It’s only been the past few days that I’ve felt like myself again.
