Default Happy being here sharing my post surgery experiences

In life, it is much happier to share some life events like our weight loss goals with anyone. I am glad that I am part of this active weigh-loss surgery forum. I have read with great interest all other testimonies of active members. How amazing to hear successess and important to give insights or pieces of advice for those who have underwent side effects of the surgeries. I am lucky that I did not make wrong decisions to engage the services of Dr. Luis Cervantes, Tijuana Bariatric Surgeon, of the Renew Bariatrics. He really tried his best in convincing me from the start about the expected outcomes of the gastric sleeve surgery by directing me to the Renew Bariatrics' illustration on the patient' expected weigh after gastric sleeve, entitled, "Expected Post-op Weight Timeline." True enough, I am now losing weight as expected despite some difficulties felt immediately after the surgery.

Complications can and do happen, which is why reading up is important. As for "expected weight loss"...so lots of people hit and surpass their goal. Generally those are the people following the rules and living the sleeved dream. Some struggle more with nutrition/exercise and either do not hit their goal or cannot maintain it due to poor eating habits, medical issues (cancer or other diseases requiring medications), stress, and more. I know that I am only a little past a year out and I am way past expectations.

This is the "expected" for my start weight of 207 and my height.

    SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY
•80% of patients reach at least 154 lbs 18 months after surgery.
•50% of patients reach at least 140 lbs 18 months after surgery.
•20% of patients reach 126 lbs 18 months after surgery.

    Clearly they are just guidelines.
