Default Bright Line Eating for Regain

Has anyone heard of, or tried, Bright Line Eating?
It's for people addicted to sugar or white flour products. I have started it today, as I have gained a bit. But it would be impossible to put the whole meal she describes in my stomach. She says three meals a day and no snacks. That is not going to work. I'm not going to force it. It's a very healthful, lifelong eating regimen and isn't to be considered a diet. I figure eating several times a day will be OK. I will get back on occassionally with updates. We could have a support group in our forum. She said support is very important. The "she" I've mentioned is the author of the book, Susan Peirce Thompson PH.D.

It was my first week on Bright Line Eating and I lost 2.6 pounds. It was a little tricky to understand the guidelines, at first, but now I have it down. You don't have to buy anything. You can, if you want, but I could find everything I needed on various Bright Line Eating groups on Facebook for nothing. I did get the Kindle version of her book, which I thought was very important to read. Somehow I'm going to post one of her videos. It may help some people make a decision.

Could someone who is much more techie than me please go to YouTube and find:
    The Break-Rezoom Merry-Go-Round
and then post it here. Susan, the founder of Bright Line Eating, is brilliant, eloquent and beautiful. She used to weigh about 230 pounds and has a story of her own to tell.
If we could get a little of her information posted, it would be the answer to anyone regaining. And we have all worked so hard to lose it. No more regain!
    I'm so happy!

Lee had a little technical glitch posting a link to something she wanted to share with the group, so I'm just helping her out by posting this here. She'd like anyone who's interested in the Bright Line program to view this:

    Thanks for helping me, Ann!

I'm going to check in here once a week and post my weekly weight loss. I absolutely could not do this without the sleeve to aid me. The Bright Line Eating program explains why sugar and white flour get a grip on your mind and won't let go. It's the final step in our weight loss journey. The program costs nothing to join, as you can get all info through Facebook groups. Reading her book, Bright Line Eating, is imperative. I got the Kindle version on Amazon. Don't listen to anything about "Boot Camp" or buying anything. We have the sleeve and we already bought that! This is just the final step in overcoming our problem. Some people can eat a cookie now and then, but for me the Christmas tree lights go off. This is for those kinds of people. And you will feel so much healthier!

    Till next week...

I do know that when you eat sugar and white flour you continue to crave it and then have to seriously detox to stop the cravings. That is for me personally.

Lost 2.2 pounds this week! Total of 4.8 pounds for two weeks on the Bright Line Eating program. It's the sugar and white flour, everybody! At least for me, as I am addicted to it. If you're interested in doing this, just do your homework. There's all kinds of info online, Facebook and YouTube. I can answer a few questions, but am quite new at this, myself. Only been on it two weeks and still learning.

    Thanks, Ann!
For Thanksgiving yesterday I did not have any pie, cake, rolls, gravy, etc. I had turkey, beef briscuit, mashed potatoes plain and a delicious brussel sprout dish. I was very full, thanks to the sleeve. I could not do this without the sleeve.

Down a total of 7.2 pounds using the Bright Line Eating program!

On Thanksgiving day I did not have any problem at all avoiding the sugar and flour. For three days afterward, the leftover pie and cake was looking at me. And looking at me. But I resisted. About the time I was to post my weekly progress here...I had a chocolate chip cookie that someone had brought over for early Christmas. Then I had a small amount of a chocolate hazelnut bar.
I talked to our daughter, who had introduced me to the Bright Line Eating she was on, and she said she allows herself a cheat day every month. But I was afraid to weigh myself last week and report on here. So I got realigned and waited a few days. 7.2 pounds lost. SO happy! I told my husband that the sleeve took me as far as It could (for me) and then this new way of eating is taking me the rest of the way.

As for the program, itself, it's no sugar or flour. Up until a few days ago, I was rationalizing that I could make my own heavy, fresh wholewheat brown bread and that would be OK. Sometimes people tweak the program here and there, and figure out what their triggers are or aren't. But one thing for sure, a free-for-all isn't a good idea no matter what it is.

Bottom line: it's a great program for me and I'm slowly understanding how it works. I only did this for about two weeks...but we're supposed to log everything we eat and amounts. We're supposed to plan our meals a day ahead. But it turned out to be obsessive and counterproductive for me. All I needed to do was be honest with myself.

When I reach my original lowest weight on my ticker here...I will let you know!
