New to Forum in Palm Beach County FL

Hi, I am new to forum and seriously considering VGS. My appointment with one Dr is first week of December, and also there is another Dr. nearer to me, but have not heard back from that group yet. What is the protocol, did you visit more than one Dr. before deciding? They both seem to have good reputations. Is anyone familiar with Dr. Vaughan in Jupiter FL, or Dr. Larson in Lake Worth? Any advice would be greatly appreciated since I am a newbie. I am tired of not living my "best life" because of this weight, and I am looking forward to this journey.

If both have good reputations, I would personally go to the one that is closer. I think it is easier to have your surgeon close by. (Unless the difference is minimal.) That is just my opinion.

Dr. Larson did my surgery. No issues. He is a good surgeon but not a hand holder. December will be 3 years, put on 10 lbs last month due to stress eating but have dropped 5 and hope the other 5 goes away too. You get what you put into it, best thing I ever did for myself! I eat whatever I want, just not a lot of it!
