Red face Today is my 2 month Surgiversary

I'm down 47 lbs in the last 2 months and 57 lbs overall if you include the pre-surgery diet. I can't believe what a huge difference this has made in my life. Changes include:

    - My sleep apnea is gone. I actually feel rested when I wake up.
    - I finally have the energy to tackle my problems. My to-do list no longer seem insurmountable. Everything is possible.
    - My work performance and consistency has improved. My boss has noticed and offered me a full time position.
    - I am much more confident around women. I don't feel awkward when I give someone a hug.
    - I am full of hope for my future.

I can honestly say this is the best decision I have ever made. My only regret is not doing this a long time ago. I wasted the last 5 years feeling like a zombie; feeling like getting off the couch was impossible; feeling like I had nothing to offer the world. My pride kept me from doing it sooner. I wanted to do things the hard way. I didn't want to admit that I didn't have the discipline to diet and exercise like I was supposed to. But I finally came to the realization that my weight hadn't changed in over 3 years, and it never would unless I committed to something concrete and drastic.

The hardest part was the pre-op diet. The second hardest part now is staying hydrated; I had a trip to the emergency room because my heart rate went up over 100 bpm and wouldn't go down. At times, things have been scary but this forum has been there for me to resolve my concerns and help me understand the information gaps not covered by my doctor or nutritionist. Thanks to the community. Shout out to Tinman for his simple but livable approach.

Keep your shadow behind you, then your face will be in the sun.
You are doing great, keep on doing what you do!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.
