And who would have thought I'd be friends with Marilyn Monroe?!?

I don't feel like I look younger at all. I feel like I've aged drastically. And boy, my parents both look like they've aged 50 years since their surgeries and weight loss. They look so old now.
2015 - 2017... big big difference.

I think they look great, I suppose they are at an age when they start aging naturally anyway. It's difficult to tell what is the surgery and what is not. I guess also, its more about how they feel. Do they feel better? We do live in a world a bit obsessed with looking young but feeling vibrant and healthy can be traded for a few wrinkles :-)
Stacey, to be fair, they've been through pure hell since 2015. They've lost a great grandson, granddaughter, and almost another granddaughter who is now permanently disabled after complications from having this surgery. My dad also nearly died this summer. It's been a freaking nightmare. They finally bought an RV and took a two week vacation up the east coast and into Canada a couple of weeks ago (that's one of the pictures). I haven't seen them that happy in a long long time. It filled my heart to finally see them go off and enjoy themselves. But yeah, we look older, and it's ok.
