    Default Upper Chest Pain

Eight days post-op and all of a sudden I'm experiencing upper chest pain, and it doesn't hurt when I swallow but the pain seems to also be in my throat. Anyone else experience this, and should I be concerned?

Could be acid reflux. Talk to your surgeon about a PPI. I had wicked heartburn the first few months. Also, the heartburn is different than most you may have experienced pre op. It can also make you feel like you are having hunger pangs. Yes, as weird as that sounds. A lot of people experience it. Good luck!

Wouldn't hurt to ask your surgeon.

Personally sometimes early on it felt like food got "stuck" in my upper chest. But it happened after eating, not all the time.

Are you taking your anti acid meds?
    Once or twice a day?
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.
