16 month update...

Greetings all,

I was fairly active here right before my 11 JUL 16 VSG, and for a while afterwards. Since that time, I survived an illegal termination, sale of a downtown Chicago condo, purchase of a home in Boynton Beach, Florida with stressful closings on both ends. Gained 8/10 lbs back due to self medicating with food. I have returned to work cooking at a Private Club in Palm Beach, FL. Stressful to say the least. Then there was Hurricane Irma just a week after moving.

I was on a 95 lb. or so plateau for about 5 months, but low and behold, at my initial new Cardiologist appointment last week, I learned that I had broken the 100 lb. mark. Not sure how much more I want to lose....maybe 20...30??? Just trying to eat healthy. Haven't had a diet coke in a year and a half.

Good to hear that you survived the stress with minimal weight gain and were able to lose it and then some. Be strong and continue on your path to remaining healthy. And thank you for the reminder that this is a life long commitment. Good luck to you!
