    Default Protein shakes

Before surgery, I had tried Premeir protein shakes and Unjury shakes. I enjoyed the taste of both, and ended up getting chocolate, vanilla, and unflavored Unjury. Problem is that now, post surgery, they are all so unbearably sweet. It makes me gag. Any suggestions on how to tone down the sweetness?

    TIA

    Default Re: Protein shakes

For a while after surgery I could not tolerate the sweetness of shakes either. I had to get my protein in with creamed soups made with nonfat milk (Fa!rlife milk is higher in protein, lower in sugar, and lactose free), nonfat lattes (espresso, nonfat milk, Splenda), and the shakes I found the most bearable were the Advant Edge Low Carb chocolate. Anything else made me gag as well. Good luck.
