Finally requested the sleeve with my doctor

So I finally went to the docs to request the sleeve, I have to wait a few weeks to see the consultant but I'm starting to feel nervous now, it's real. I have a question regarding hair loss, is there a way of stopping it as my hair means a lot to me and I don't want to go bald and does it go back to the way it was. Many thanks.

Who says you're going to go bald? I've experience major hair loss. I'm not bald. It stops, hair regrows. It's all tied to hormone changes with rapid weight loss

Yeah. I lost hair but never went bald. Just thinner. I also take biotin 10000 mcg 2x a day. I started taking it before the hair loss and it made my hair start out a lot thicker. You could totally see the difference. Even my friends noticed how nice it made my hair look. My hair is growing back in. I was never bald and I had thin hair to begin with.

And it does grow back. Such a small price to pay for this awesome new body I am living in and this healthy new lifestyle I am loving!

I've been on this site for over 4 years and have never heard of anyone going bald. Instead of worrying about hair loss, get excited about losing a whole lot of weight! Either that or skip the surgery, stay large, and then you won't have to worry about your hair.

Seriously, take your vitamins, the hair loss should be minimal. It grows back. If you have thick hair like I do you won't even notice. The only way I knew I was losing hair is I'd see some short pieces growing back in.

I also lost hair.
I'm certainly not bold.
I happen to have two incredible brave, dear friends, who are both bold from chemo.
One lost the battle, the other one is still fighting for her life.
I'm not complaining, that puts things into perspective for me...

I'm very sorry it taken a while for me to respond. Thank you to everyone that have replied, I just needed clarification on what to expect as I had seen posts about hairloss but just needed to know it was temporary and its not a total loss. I want all the facts before I make this decision so there are no surprises.
