I've been lurking here for about a week and thought I'd come out of the shadows!

I've only just begun thinking about the possibility WLS and had never heard of the sleeve until I began googling. A family member had a roux-n-y about 16 mo. ago and has lost over 90 lbs. but I don't like the idea of rearranging internal connections, have lots of concerns about the nutrient absorbtion/dumping syndrome issues, etc.

So the sleeve has more appeal to me, should I ever go thru with it. I've been amazed and humbled reading the experiences here. I hope you don't mind me continuing to read and begin asking some questions. Thanks!

Welcome! I love my sleeve. I completely understand about the bypass. The sleeve is a far better surgery. (My sister was sleeved 6 years ago and my dad had by pass in 89.) So many more complications with the bypass. I absolutely love my sleeve.
