I'm Carol....and so excited that I finally have a date set! December 20TH will be my new, most favorite favorite day ever! Surgery will be at Mayo Clinic Rochester. I'd love to hear from others heading into this journey! I'm looking forward to learning all of your tips and tricks. 65 days and counting ....

Thanks! I'm so thrilled with my progress. Not quite 5 months out and I have 24 more pounds to lose to hit my goal!

That's exciting, right!! We're going to be December 20th sisters in surgery, with a year apart!! Be patient, follow the rules and you'll be better than you think you could ever be!! Pos surgery is hard, but don't give up!! You can handle it!!! Best of luck!!

Congrats on having a date. When you take your progress pictures be sure to wear a bathing suit or undergarments. Measure waist, hips, chest, bicep, thigh, calf, neck. Then take the progress pics and measurements every 2 weeks. Same outfit and picture taken from same distance in same location. When your weight stalls you will see you are still losing inches. I absolutely love looking back at my before and after pics. Also, read up as much as you can now. I am hoping to schedule my surgery that same week! Although I am 44 and a full time State of Florida employee, I am also a full time student at Florida State University with a double major. My finals are the week prior (3 are online and only 1 on campus) so that week would be perfect.

You have an easy out now. Every year at Christmas/Chanukah you can tell everyone their gift is a healthy you.
