Hi all,

Riz here.... 47 years young !, so the start of another journey....

Was overweight as a child, lost it in my late teens and early twenties, ever since then its been a long slow gain.

I'm 5'6 (168 cm), and now weigh 282 lbs (128 kilo) . I can lose weight by low carbing, but only ever manage 2-3 weeks before I end up stopping and it comes back.

I really wanna a solution and the gastric sleeve seems to be the way. In the UK, where I am from, I would have to wait 1-2 years to get an operation if not longer. Here in Riyadh, where I work, you pay and it can be arranged within a few weeks to a month.

So hoping for support and information.

Welcome Riz! Happy you will be able to have the surgery sooner rather than later. It is rather life changing. Read as much as you can now so you can feel a little more prepared post op. Also, stay active on here. It helps to have someone to lean on and chat with others that have been where you are.
