Food Portion idea...

Hey I wanted to share this idea,
These are great for #bariatric patients and or someone who is trying to apply portion control to their diet. These are my 2.3 ounce food storage containers I got at the dollar tree. (10 for $1)... Each one equals out to about 1/4 cup. They have been a huge help to me in keeping control. I use them for food like any kind of weekly meal prep or left overs like soup, chili or taco meat. I also love to portion-out my low carb ice cream: Halo top. I recently made Fat free, Sugar free Pistachio pudding and got 10 containers full. this is 25 days of having a little something sweet that won't hurt my diet, that i'm able to work into my daily carbs & calories allowed.

Great idea. Portion control, portion control, portion control. Preparing in advance should take away one more temptation or problem to contend with.

BTW, my therapist told me recently that it takes 6-18 month to change "complex behaviors" -- like we're all responsible for changing post-op. I think these are great tools to get you on the road to eat lower portions.

These are so great Kristy. Im gonna go look gor some, as I'm going to makes some things for the freezer next week, for after my surgery.
I'm just going to be careful not to make too massive a pot of something so I don't have death by the same soup every day!!!

This is a great idea. I actually bought some containers for people who make baby food themselves but I bet I paid more than you did!
