5 weeks post op How much do you eat??

Hi Cale,

NO!! I'm not afraid to eat but if I eat any more I throw it up and my stomach feels like it's over flowing!!

We are all different I guess. I have read where plenty of people are like you and can tolerate more foods from the get go....
For some of us though it's trial and error.
My surgeon works on a mathematical equation to determine how much he cuts out, I believe my stomach is about the size of my middle finger.
So far I've lost 37lb in 38 days and hopefully I will continue without going into starvation mode.

Wow, that's an awfully small stomach! I'd be grazing all day with a stomach so tiny. Well, I hope it works out for you!

We are all different and have been given different instructions form out docs and Nut.. The practice I go to has you on clear liquids following surgery for two weeks. One would need to be on clear protein as well if it could be tolerated. I could hardly get down 4 oz. of liquid and hour, no way could I get in the 64 oz. they would like you to and still can't.

Happy for you that you are able to tolerate the protein so well... but please understand that their are some of us with new pouches so small, its difficult.
