I was sleeved two months ago. I need to update my profile.
Okay I will not go into nutrients because upon my research I have found a mixed bag. Some people say drinking water breaks down the nutrients and makes them easier to absorb. Some say not.
What I want to talk about is how water flushes out your food and makes you hungrier quicker. I definitely have noticed that if I have a drink with my meals, I am hungry about an hour later. When I do not drink anything while I eat, I feel full longer. This all makes sense right?
So my question is this. If this is true, why wouldn't this theory work for someone who has not had gastric sleeve surgery? It's the same concept just a different scale. A larger stomach. But I would assume the same rules apply. Fill up a space with food, and liquids make it slide out easier. But researching through the internet, I cant really find any examples of people mentioning doing this without gastric sleeve. In fact, I find the opposite to be true, people drink water right before they eat to fill themselves up. Huh?
We are told liquids go right through us immediately right? And we have a smaller opening. So if liquids go through us fast wouldn't it go through people with a normal sized stomach even faster?
