Welcome, You can loose all the weight you need to with the Sleeve and not have all the negative side effects. If you look at my signature line you can see were I started and were I am now. I've lost 119lbs in less than 8mos. Key to success is eating heathy and exercising or living an active life style. Please pm me if you'd like my number or you can ask me any questions on here. Best thing I ever did. No regrets.

Much less complications with the sleeve. You can still lose all your weight with a sleeve. Easier to absorb vitamins as well with the sleeve versus bypass. With both surgeries you can possibly fail if you eat around your tool and you can gain weight back if you do that as well. I have experience with both as my father had bypass and both my sister and I had the sleeve. One site that helped me make my decision was https://www.obesitycoverage.com/gast...erence-manual/ Good luck on your decision.

In all fairness, the name of this website is GastricSleeve.Com, so most (if not all) of the replies are going to be biased toward the sleeve. If you want feedback about the gastric bypass, visit some other sites:

Hello! I started 260 and am only 5 foot. I will be 42 next month so not too much younger than you. I went with the sleeve because I didn't want any rerouting of my insides. I'm so happy with my choice. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!

Thank you ..I understand a previous comment about this site being bias to a sleeve, and I feel the sleeve is the way to go due to the complications as you pointed out the rerouting etc ....I think I just needed to hear that it is a real choice and not me being pushed for the cheaper option again many thanks x

The beauty of the sleeve over bypass is that you can revise the sleeve to bypass if necessary but you have a much more difficult revision to reverse the bypass. As I understand it.
