I am heading to Mexico Sept 12!!! I started back working out the last week of June. Down 33 pounds so far!!! I am hoping to lose 100-120 pounds after my sleeve.
Hi Chris, you've picked a great doctor. I had surgery 1-24-17. I've lost 117lbs so far. No longer have sleep apnea, snore, diabetes, high B/P, off five meds too. Best experience and wouldn't change a thing. If you have any questions I'm happy to answer. My before and after pic available under the group of Dr Almanza's patients and the T.J group I think. Wish you the best of luck. P
Take in all the small victories. There will be many and they all feel good. Best of luck on your surgery and recovery.
Your day will be my one year anniversary of my VGS. I am doing great although I still have about 20 more pounds I want to lose. I do not take any medications, my vitamin levels have all been great and I am working out and enjoying life. My husband and I took a vacation to the Utah National Parks in July and hiked about 48 miles in 7 days and loved every bit of it.
You just have to follow all directions and concentrate on the water and walking in the beginning. Life is good! Good luck to you.
Mine is generally pretty good. I have done a lot of gym work to firm up areas but I am a 50 yo guy who was significantly overweight. I have areas that will never rebound but it is not as bad as I thought it could be. My worst areas are my lower abs and thighs(while sitting). If you do the work, you will be mostly fine and the younger and healthier your skin is the better you will be.
