    Default Protein Powder

What brand of protein powder do you recommend that gives you the energy needed through out the day?

I personally like the EAS Advant Edge. My nutritionist stated that one has the right vitamins/minerals/nutrients that WLS patients need. Another popular one is Premier Protein. The Premier is good but it made me queasy. I know it is a favorite among a lot of sleevers on here. Just make sure you do research because not all protein shakes are good for sleevers. I know that my surgeon's office specifically excluded Muscle Milk. Ones they endorsed besides the 2 above where Slimfast high protein, Atkins Advantage, Ensure high protein, and Designer Whey.

No problem. I advise trying the premade or small containers before you commit. Also, do not stock up. A lot of people's taste buds change post op. I threw out a $55 bag of protein powder since post op I found it disgusting and pre op I though it was yummy. (Bariatric Advantage that I bought from the surgeon's office.)

Over three years post-op, and I'm still chugging down at breakfast time (with great pleasure) GNC Lean 25 Shakes (Swiss chocolate is my fave). Hubby and I both love those things. They deliver 25 grams of protein for 170 calories.

I also like Premier Protein shakes -- again, the chocolate's my fave.
