Hi all!

I'm pretty new to posting here. About 7 years ago, I had the lap band surgery, which dislodged only a couple of months after the surgery. Needless to say, it was a bust, so I had all of the fluid removed since I had horrible acid reflux from the dislodging. I recently had a band reversal (lots of scar tissue) and will be having the gastric sleeve surgery September 7th. I'm scared and nervous and don't want to be a two time loser, but am super excited at the same time to have this second chance. It's great meeting you guys and I'm sure I'll have lots of questions along the way and promise to try not to be a pain. Wish me luck, and HERE WE GO!!!

Welcome electricgypsy! You'll find quite a few band to sleevers on here. All have similar stories of bands gone wrong. I haven't seen any conversions fail. They just sometimes lose a little bit slower than first time WLS patients. Good luck. This place is very supportive. Never be afraid to ask for advice or help. We're here to support each other.

first of all you are not a loser!! and this will be a great tool for you. (and the rest of us) so i have found that its not a problem to ask all that you want to and also all that you need to know. so ask away
