    Lightbulb Tests before surgery

Don't quite yet know when my surgery is had my first consult with my surgeon in July and my second is in September .
I know for insurance purposes I have to do a three month weight check with my primary care . Anyways I was required to do a lot of labs ! And one of them was my glucose which I'm used to back in April my glucose as 123 and now it's 112 I have been working on it , but one thing the surgeon tested for that no one else has ever tested for was insulin which was very high at 54 the range is 2-19 I'm wondering if anyone has the same issue and what the reasoning behind the insulin being so high . Glucose and Insulin lab tests are different that is why I am asking .

Most obese people have high circulating levels of insulin because 70% of obese/overweight folks are insulin-resistant whether they realize it or not.

Insulin resistance is/was the reason most of us did/do have weight problems, even if the majority of obese people never received the formal diagnosis of metabolic syndrome or insulin resistance.

Insulin is an anabolic hormone that promotes fat storage. Naturally thin people have low levels or circulating insulin while overweight people generally have high levels of circulating insulin.

In addition to blood sugar regulation, high insulin levels keep people hungry.

Very nervous and excited at the same time ! I'm worried about excess skin after that's not something I want .
