Thank you Christie! Congratulations on your success so far! Been fighting my weight since I was a kid and I am coming up on a year of being alcohol free and want to get this last part of my life that has been "weighing " on me taken care of! Not sure why I waited this long.

Than you and congratulations to you! This message board will be extremely helpful for sure! I know everyone heals differently but how long would you say it took for your incisions to heal? I am due to go on a trip two weeks after my surgery and it will involve a lot of swimming?

I was told no swimming for 30 days after surgery to insure proper healing.

Another Happy Dr. Almanza sleever here.. was cut in TJ Mexico on 7/7/17.

As far as swimming that is too soon after surgery. Your barely at the stitches out phase at 2 weeks.. Can you move your surgery date up 2 weeks?

Unfortunately no do to my work I am gone for 28 days a t a time so I was planning on getting the surgery done the day I get off. I did read there are specific ointments/remedies that can help the wound heal quicker. They are dissolving stitches?

Nope.. they are real stiches. I can post pics of what mine looked like at 2 weeks if you like.
I'm assuming this is pool swimming? not lake or ocean swimming?

Yes pool swimming. So you go to your primary to get them removed?
