#56days Post-op

Hey, how is everyone? Good, I hope!
Had my second official weigh in, yesterday. Dr.'s visit went very well, I have lost another 21 lbs in 4 weeks & 4 days. 54 lbs since surgery, 82 lbs total. All my doctors are very happy with my progress. The surgeon told me that I could wait around and speak with the Nutritionist if I wanted, but she thought I was doing great on my own. I was really worried about whether I was doing my diet right, eating the right things, but I guess I am.

I'm feeling much better, up on my feet more, standing longer, walking more. I had a couple victories besides the weight loss. My sugar level is staying low, average day for me the last two months is between 92-98... And I actually walked the entire grocery section of Wal-mart, last week. Then walked StaterBros. a couple days later. This is a very big deal for me because I always had to use the store scooters when I would go in to shop. I'm really happy to be slowly getting back to walking. I'm keeping at it!

Sorry I'm not around too much lately, things are just crazy and mom and I are getting ready to move in the next month or so. Sending out lots of love and encouragement to everyone!

Kristy, I wish I could LOVE your post above. So happy to hear how you're getting your life and independence back. Good for you. This is what WLS is all about -- getting healthy and active and living life. Congratulations to you. It just gets better and better and better!
