    Default Mammogram

One thing I don't think I've ever read on here is that when you go for a mammogram after having the sleeve, you should tell them that you have had a significant weight loss. The imaging place I go to detected a change in my breast composition and I had to go back for a second screening. All is well, but they asked me if I had lost weight. I told them yes, and the technician said that the doctor had mentioned that could have been a reason for the change. Just another little change to take into account after the sleeve!

Thanks for this post. What I've learned the last few years from my mammograms is that it's a lot easier for radiologists to "see" what's going on in there with so much less mass. My breasts are definitely (ha!) less dense (ha, ha!). No s**t, Sherlock!

Good to know. I had very big dense boobs pre sleeve....now they are not so big. Definitely will be a difference. At least now I know when I go to my next mammogram. (I have to go yearly.)

This is absolutely true. I had a repeat breast ultrasound, and the radiologist told me that from previous scans, it looked like a different person. All of the internal markers that they use for comparisons had changed.

At mine they just said "have you lost a lot of weight?" Well yes, I have! I think they needed to get out different slides or something.
